amber's first portrait buddy was kerstin klein.
kerstin is enjoying the different visions of herself that these portrait parties provide.
both susan and darryl did two portraits of each other. darryl's first attempt, above, was drawn with red pencil then soaked in ink. "the result was something like a dying leaf," he wrote, "... lovely in a destroyed kind of way, and almost entirely useless." he tore it up and worked it into a collage.
with that story in mind, susan's portrait of darryl seems especially accurate.
two brothers drew each other. and art stream studios had the good sense to send their masterpieces this way. well done, kids!
