this was the first self-portrait that voytaz tackled with ink. (it really can be a daunting step. even ink isn't final though. some of my favorite works of art include the pasted paper, scratch marks, and white-out that are used to finesse an ink drawing.)

mim loves drawing herself because she can give her model purple hair and not worry about the repercussions. you're a nutty one, mim stella!

for her first drawing class last year, jennifer drew a self-portrait. she was pleasantly surprised.

our friend, cindy woods, had surgery yesterday. her nephew, evan, drew this self-portrait as a get well card.

here is my most recent self-portrait. i drew it to document a poorly grown beard before i shaved it away. the detail that surprised me most is the rogue hair that i found in my eyebrow. i've seen it before and combed it down but, upon discovering it in a portrait, i think i'll let it go wild.
